C.W. Post Winter Session Offers Three-Credits for 1/3 Tuition Discount

Brookville, N.Y. -- Whether you’re looking to fulfill a core requirement, accelerate your studies, improve your GPA or even do some traveling, the Winter Session at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of the winter break.

Through the Winter Session, which runs from December 29, 2008 to January 13, 2009, more than 35 undergraduate and graduate classes are available at one-third off the regular tuition rate. Students can take 3-credit courses in just 10 days through morning, afternoon and evening sessions. Courses include “American Civilization,” “Introduction to Media Arts,” “Technology for Information Management,” “Beginning Philosophy,” “Psychology of Humor” and “Elementary Italian.”

For those who are looking to get away and escape a cold New York winter, two courses -- “Field Study of Wild Dolphin Social Behavior” and “Tropical Field Studies in Biology” -- will be held in Costa Rica and Jamaica, respectively. Travel courses are not subject to the 1/3 tuition discount.

The cost for three undergraduate credits is $1,743, a savings of $814, and for three graduate credits $1,879, a savings of $882 per course. Current C.W. Post students who wish to register for the Winter Session should contact their academic counselors. New or visiting students can enjoy easy and simple registration with a shortened application, available online at www.liu.edu/cwpost/winter or from the Winter Session Office.

Registration is ongoing through December 29. For more information, contact the Winter Session Office at 516-299-2431 or visit www.liu.edu/cwpost/winter.
