C.W. Post Students Participate in National Survey
Students are being asked to evaluate their experiences at C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University by participating in the National Survey of Student Engagement.
The survey, which can be filled out at http://www.nssesurvey.org/, will collect details about students’ personal undergraduate experiences, study habits, classroom lessons and assignments, as well as their work, recreational and extra-curricular activities. This data will help the campus measure student satisfaction and academic success and guide faculty and staff in identifying ways to improve the undergraduate experience. The survey takes an estimated 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
More than 1,700 first-year students (freshman and transfers) and seniors have been invited to participate. Since its release Monday February 9, 2009 about 80 students have participated. The survey is open through the end of the Spring semester. However, C.W. Post’s goal is to try to get as many students in the sample (1,700) as possible to complete the survey by end of March. Results of the survey will be available in mid-August.
Each participant who completes the online survey by February 27, 2009 will be entered into a drawing for one of 10 $50 gift certificates to the C.W. Post Bookstore.
