Brookville, NY – The Real Estate Practitioners Institute of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University will hold its annual spring luncheon at the Milleridge Cottage in Jericho, N.Y., on Thursday, April 30 to share solutions and strategies for navigating today’s challenging real estate market.
This year's luncheon is a banking summit titled "Yes, We're Still Lending," addressing the challenges and dispelling myths about the current housing market. Bankers, developers and real estate brokers should find this presentation of particular interest.
Henry Schreiber, president of the Henron Development Corp., is moderator for the event, joined by panelists James Carpenter, executive vice president of New York Community Bank; William J. Newham, III, senior vice president of Bank of Smithtown; and Nancy Tomich, first vice president and director of Mortgage Operations at Astoria Federal Savings.
The Institute provides real estate courses at C.W. Post for real estate professionals, people pursuing real estate as a second career, college business majors, homebuyers, homeowners and investors; and civic and government officials. Many of the Institute's board members teach in C.W. Post’s School of Continuing Education and participate in breakfasts, luncheons, professional seminars and symposiums.
The summit will begin with cocktails at 11:45 a.m., followed by the luncheon at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $55 per person (cash bar).
