Auditions for Woodwind and Brass Scheduled by C.W. Post Chamber Music Festival for
Sunday, June 14 and Monday, June 15

Three weeks of performance and educational opportunities for talented music students,
young professionals and music educators

Brookville, NY- Auditions for woodwinds and brass will be held on Sunday, June 14 and Monday, June 15 for the 28th Summer Season of the C.W. Post Chamber Music Festival. The festival will be held July 13-31 at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University on Northern Boulevard (Route 25A) in Brookville, N.Y. Approximately 120 instrumentalists will be selected through auditions to participate in the three-week festival. The C.W. Post Chamber Music Festival includes opportunities to participate in the following categories: ages 10 to 14, ages 15 to 18, college/conservatory level, young professional and music educators interested in in-service or graduate credit (one, two or three credits) with flexible scheduling during the festival.

This summer's festival includes public performances and master classes for participants with the Imani Winds, The Pierrot Consort and Lawrence Dutton, violist of the Emerson String Quartet. In addition, educational residencies with members of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and members of the Chamber Music Society at Lincoln Center are planned.
