Palmer School of Library and Information Science to Hold Open House at Manhattan Location 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7
New York, N.Y. – The Palmer School of Library and Information Science, a national leader in its field, will host an open house for its graduate programs from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009 at its Manhattan location.
A division of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, the Palmer School offers the Master of Science in Library and Information Science -- one of just 58 programs nationwide accredited by the American Library Association. Palmer School professors are highly accomplished practitioners from a wide variety of backgrounds, and graduates enjoy excellent employment prospects.
Classes are held evenings and weekends. Summer classes are offered in one-week, long-weekend and monthly formats, allowing students to move quickly through the 12-course MSLIS program. Classes are also held at C.W. Post in Brookville, Nassau County; the Brentwood Campus of Long Island University in Suffolk County, and the Westchester Graduate Campus at SUNY Purchase.
The open house will be held at the NYU Bobst Library, 70 Washington Square Park South. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with professors and administrators and learn about admissions, academic concentrations and specialties, and more.
