Scholarship Competition for College Students Interested
in Art Annual Portfolio Day Set for Nov. 10, 1998
New freshman and transfer students interested in majoring in art at
the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville can vie for
annual scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $3,000 at Portfolio Day on Tuesday,
November 10.
Distinguished faculty from the Art Department at C.W. Post will review
students' portfolios between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. in the Sculpture Studio
(Art Department Sculpture C). Students should bring their portfolio of
not more than 10 pieces of art. Scholarships are renewable up to three
years if the student maintains a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
Those students interested in Art History will be required to write a short
paper on the day of the event.
All full-time freshmen and undergraduate transfer students planning
to enroll at C.W. Post in the Fall of 1999 and majoring in the following
areas are invited to attend: Art, Art History and Therapy, Art Therapy,
Art Education, Ceramics, Graphic Design, Sculpture, Fine Arts, Photography,
Printmaking and Digital Art and Design.
