Free Seminars on Paralegal Career
and Employment Opportunities


Individuals interested in learning about the career and employment opportunities of paralegals are invited to attend a free Career Seminar hosted by the Paralegal Studies Program at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, NY.

The seminars will be held Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, August 21, 1999 at 9:30 a.m.; and Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at 7 p.m. All seminars meet in Tilles Center room W-1 on the C.W. Post Campus, Northern Boulevard (Route 25A).

Participants can meet with practicing paralegals and talk with faculty about the responsibilities of the paralegal, employment placement services, financial aid, course content, including computer (Lexis) training, admissions requirements, and personalized scheduling.

Classes are offered in both day and evening programs. Day classes run from September 15 to December 20 and are held Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., except on Thursday, when classes run until 5 p.m.

Evening classes runs from September 22 to April 24 and are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Paralegal Program has been run through the School of Continuing Studies for more than 20 years. Since its inception in 1976, the program has provided the legal and business communities with highly qualified individuals to serve as legal assistants in corporations, accounting firms, title companies, government agencies and law firms.

The Paralegal Program is approved by the American Bar Association and is in compliance with the revised Guidelines for the Approval of Legal Assistant Education Programs.
