C.W. Post Expands Fall Evening Programs on Bachelor's Level

The C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University has expanded its Evening Program to offer 15 new bachelor's degree programs that can be completed solely by attending night classes.

Classes begin September 7, 1999 for these new undergraduate programs, which include creative art studio, English, computer science, information systems, criminal justice, health care administration, health information management, information transfer, interdisciplinary studies, nursing, political science, public administration, public relations, psychology and sociology. Most classes begin at 5:45 p.m., 6:40 p.m. and 8 p.m.

According to Nishan Najarian, Ph.D., university dean of Long Island University's School of Continuing Studies, the Evening Program was created specifically for those students who can only attend classes later in the day or on weekends. "Since Long Island University was one of the first universities to cater to the non-traditional adult college student, we see this program as natural expansion of our mission to help people who are looking to get ahead while juggling the responsibilities of full-time work and family," he said.

C.W. Post also offers more than 85 bachelor's degree programs with classes throughout the day, evening and on weekends. The campus has 58 graduate degree programs that can be completed during the evening and on weekends.
