Jeanette Grill Elected President
of Local Career Planning Organization


Jeanette Grill, a resident of Smithtown, was recently elected president of the Metropolitan New York College Placement Officers Association (MNYCPOA), an organization of college career planning and placement officers representing more than 60 colleges and universities in the greater New York metropolitan area.

Grill currently serves as director of the Professional Experience and Placement (PEP) office at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, NY. PEP provides students with extensive career counseling services, including paid professional internship opportunities to enhance their program of study, build a resume and earn money to pay for college. PEP's Cooperative Education program boasts a 99% percent job placement rate for C.W. Post graduates.

As president of MNYCPOA's executive board, Grill will share the responsibility of promoting the professional growth and development of its members while providing the opportunity to exchange ideas, information and creative solutions concerning career development issues. Guest speakers are leaders from the academic, corporate, non-profit and government sectors who share information on current trends in hiring and training as well as career counseling.
