Bernadette Castro to Host
C.W. Post Family Business of the Year Awards
Bernadette Castro - commissioner of the New York State Office of Parks,
Recreation and Historic Preservation and a member of one of our area's
most prominent business families - will be the keynote speaker at the 1999
C.W. Post Family Business of the Year Awards on Wednesday, October 6 at
the Milleridge Inn Cottage in Jericho.
Hosted by the Center for Family Business at the C.W. Post Campus of
Long Island University in Brookville, the annual awards ceremony honors
Long Island businesses that have demonstrated dramatic commitment to their
families, companies and communities. Since 1996 the awards have honored
small (under 50 employees), medium (50-250) and large (over 250) companies.
Past recipients include Castagna Realty Co., All Metro Health Care, Trio
Hardware and Paint, CMP Media, and Anthony's World of Floors.
Finalists will be announced September 15 and the awards ceremony will
be held Wednesday, October 6 from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. at the Milleridge Inn
Cottage. Recipients of the annual awards are automatically enrolled in
MassMutual's National Family Business of the Year awards competition. Other
