C.W. Post Expands Corporate MBA Program
to Olympus America, Inc.
September 9, 2000 -- The C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University
has expanded its popular off-site corporate MBA program to the
Melville-based Olympus America, Inc.
Beginning in month, a class of approximately 23 employees
are taking courses toward a master of business administration
degree taught by faculty from C.W. Post's College of Management.
Classes are held on-site and consist of business courses with
a global focus. Among the courses required for the MBA degree
are: Management in a Global Society, Fundamentals of Management
Information Systems, Global Economic Environment of Business,
International Marketing, Financial Services and the New Financial
World, and International Finance.
"In addition to providing convenience and flexibility
to employees with busy professional and personal lives, C.W.
Post's on-site corporate MBA programs enhance an organization's
employee retention efforts while maintaining a skilled and motivated
workforce," said Dr. Vincent G. Massaro, director of corporate
and executive programs at C.W. Post.
The College of Management at C.W. Post offers business programs
at several major corporations. This Fall, the College of Management's
program at Bell Atlantic headquarters in Manhattan will see its
thirteenth and fourteenth classes begin. C.W. Post has offered
the MBA program at Bell Atlantic since 1994. The university offers
the full MBA program at Northrop Grumman in Bethpage and at Symbol
Technologies in Holtsville as well as an advanced business certificate
class at Symbol.
