a two-level building located in the residence hall complex. The
restored facility will be renamed the Arnold S. Winnick Student
Center in memory of Gary Winnick's father.

for the C.W. Post Campus will benefit generations of students
to come," said Dr. Joe Shenker, Provost of the C.W. Post

Improvements to the building include renovating the entrance
to the cafeteria and the lobby, installing new windows, and upgrading
the sprinkler/fire suppression and air circulation systems. The
dining area will be outfitted with new furniture. The food selection
area will be re-designed to make service and selection more efficient,
and the kitchen will be updated. An elevator will be installed
and restrooms renovated to increase handicapped accessibility.
The patio area on the south side of the building will be restored
to serve as an attractive outdoor location for dining and special
events. In addition, the lower level of the building, which currently
houses meeting and weight rooms, will be renovated with new floors
and enhanced lighting.
Additional funding for renovations of the Winnick Center will
come from Lackmann Food Service.
