C.W. Post Psychological Services Center
Expands Hours and Services
January 4, 2000 - The Psychological Services Center (PSC)
at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville
has expanded its hours of operation to better serve the campus
and surrounding Long Island communities. The PSC's hours of operation
are now 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and additional
appointments are also available.
The Psychological Services Center at the C.W. Post Campus
offers individual and group psychotherapy and psychological testing
services for adults and children on a sliding-scale fee basis.
Operated by the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at C.W.
Post, the PSC provides diverse psychological services to the
local community and serves as a training facility for clinical
psychology doctoral candidates. Staffed by graduate students
earning doctoral degrees in clinical psychology, the PSC is closely
supervised by faculty from C.W. Post's Department of Psychology
and 25 licensed clinical psychologists from the Long Island community.
Clients benefit from a wide array of services from the PSC,
including psychological assessment (intelligence testing and
personality assessment), child and family difficulties (socialization,
hyperactivity, anger management, crisis intervention), adult
difficulties (depression, marital therapy, anxiety), and group
therapy for children and adults (including social skills, anger
management, stress management and parent training).
