Youth Violence: Causes and Solutions
Fourth annual Long Island Parent Education Network conference


On Tuesday, March 14, 2000, more than 300 parents, educators, social workers and school administrators will attend the Long Island Parent Education Network's fourth annual conference. This year, the conference titled "Youth Violence: Who's to Blame and What Can We Do About It?" will be held at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. At various workshops, parenting experts, psychologists, law enforcement officials, special-ed advocates and educators will present and discuss various topics related to school violence. Workshop subjects will include anger control, bullies, survival skills for school personnel, working with disruptive children, suicide prevention, sexual harassment substance abuse, peer pressure and others.
