C.W. Post Offers Free Tax Return Assistance

Students of the Accounting Society at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University are offering free income tax return assistance to the public through April 13, 2000 at the C.W. Post Campus, Northern Boulevard (Route 25A) in Brookville.

Students are trained by C.W. Post's School of Professional Accountancy faculty, under the guidelines of the Internal Revenue Service's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Student volunteers will aid taxpayers in completing both the federal and state income tax forms.

Assistance is available Tuesdays, 2 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. in the Accounting Society Office, room 208, Lorber Hall. Students are available at these times, not only to prepare individual tax returns but also to answer tax related questions and inquiries.

The Professional School of Accountancy, the first of its kind established in the country, is part of C.W. Post's College of Management. For more information, call the School of Professional Accountancy at (516) 299-2364.
