Richard and Tina Rosen Recognized
with Distinguished Alumni Awards

Brookville, NY - Boca Raton residents Richard L. Rosen and Tina Lippert Rosen, long-time supporters of their alma mater, the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, were honored with Distinguished Alumni awards at C.W. Post's commencement ceremonies on May 14, 2000.

Distinguished Alumni Awards are presented to C.W. Post graduates who have
achieved professional success and who serve as role models to students. The Rosens will be honored along with another distinguished alumnus: Michael Emmerman (MBA '67), a managing director and a portfolio manager at the investment management firm of Neuberger Berman, LLC.

Inseparable since they met at a campus dance in May 1968, Richard (B.A. '70) and Tina (B.A. '71) are among the Campus's most active alumni supporters. Recently, their generous donation inaugurated the C.W. Post Arboretum Initiative, which is professionally conserving and cataloging hundreds of campus trees and creating exploration and study activities for students, faculty, staff and the public.

The Rosens also belong to the C.W. Post Council of Overseers, which raises scholarships for students, and the University's Jonas Society, which recognizes people who include the University in their estate plans. With a degree in political science, Mr. Rosen has risen to senior vice president/investments at Salomon Smith Barney, Inc. Mrs. Rosen has used her degree in elementary education as a substitute teacher. The Rosens live in Boca Raton, Florida, where they play an active role in charities including the United Way and the South Palm Beach County Jewish Federation.
