Auditions for 19th Annual C.W. Post Chamber Music Festival

Young professionals, pre-formed chamber music groups, teachers, college and high school students are invited to audition again for the 19th annual C.W. Post Chamber Music Festival at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. Scholarships, fellowships and Tilles Center Scholar Awards will be available.

The Festival will feature faculty artists, the Pierrot Consort and guests, and will focus on the performance of instrumental chamber music. Additional auditions have been scheduled for June 8 and 12 at the Fine Arts Center on the C.W. Post Campus; or by special appointment. All auditions require an appointment which can be made by calling the Chamber Music Festival Office at (516) 299-2103.

The C.W. Post Chamber Music Festival, a three-week intensive session scheduled for July 17 through August 4 at C.W. Post, will include chamber ensembles, festival chamber orchestra, master classes, a concerto competition, guitar ensemble and a series of concerts. Approximately 100 participants will be selected for openings in all strings, woodwinds, brass and piano. In addition, a limited number of conductors will be chosen for the Festival's conducting program.

Although the Festival is available on a non-credit basis students and non-students may earn undergraduate or graduate credits for participation. High school students may earn college credit through the High School Enrichment Program.
