C.W. Post's 19th Annual Chamber Music Festival
June 23, 2000 - The annual C.W. Post Chamber Music Festival,
an intensive three week session scheduled for July 17 to August
4 at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, will feature
chamber ensembles, a chamber orchestra, master classes, a concerto
competition and a series of concerts listed below. Approximately
100 young professionals, teachers, college and high school students
will participate. All concert events are open to the public.
Faculty Performances
The Pierrot Consort
Friday July 21
8 p.m., Hillwood Recital Hall
C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University
Northern Boulevard (Route 25A), Brookville
The Pierrot Consort, C.W. Post's ensemble-in residence, and
guest artists will perform a concert of chamber music by Susan
Deaver, flute;Dale Stuckenbruck, violin; Veronica Salas, viola;
Maureen Hynes, cello and Heawon Kim, piano as part of the 18th
Annual Chamber Music Festival. Admission is $16; $9 for students

Miriam Burns will conduct the Festival Chamber Orchestra
in a performance that will feature the winner of the C.W. Post
Chamber Music Festival's concerto competition. Orchestral works
by Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven will be performed. Admission
