C.W. Post Appoints New Director for Campus
Security
Ed Locke, a resident of Garden City South, has been appointed Director
of Campus Security at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University.
Locke comes to C.W. Post after a 24-year career with the Freeport Police
Department, where he served as an officer, sergeant, lieutenant, inspector,
and finally as Chief of Police. As Chief, Locke was responsible for more
than 100 police officers and monitoring a budget of nearly $10 million.
He also created and developed policies and procedures for a community of
over 45,000.
Following service with the United States Army and New York Army National
Guard, Locke received his B.S. in Behavioral Sciences / Criminal Justice
from New York Institute of Technology; he graduated Cum Laude and was nominated
to the Nu Ypsilon Tau Honor Society. He is also a recent graduate of the
F.B.I. National Academy.

Locke's appointment, "Ed Locke is the perfect candidate to meet the

Locke's appointment takes effect January 1.
