Personal Enrichment
Students who want to take college-level classes for personal enrichment or pleasure may enroll in C.W. Post’s Personal Enrichment program

  • Students who choose not to matriculate and are over 25 years of age can contact  the Admissions Office in order to obtain a Personal Enrichment Waiver.  Upon completing this form, the student may enroll in up to 9 credits for one semester only.  Only students who audit courses may continue taking classes without submitting a formal application for admission.  Students who have submitted official transcripts and been accepted as non-matriculated students may take 9 credits a semester and apply for matriculation after completion of 24 credits.  Students must complete a Personal Enrichment Waiver each semester prior to registration.  Acceptance as a personal enrichment student does not constitute acceptance into a degree or certificate program, although courses taken might apply to degree programs if a student subsequently applies to and gains admission to a specific program.  Please note that students who are admitted with non-matriculated/Personal Enrichment status are not eligible for any form of financial assistance (university-based, state or federal).

Undergraduate students are required to fill out and submit the two forms below.

Personal Enrichment
Students who want to take college-level classes for personal enrichment or pleasure may enroll in C.W. Post’s Personal Enrichment program

  • Students who hold a Bachelor’s degree and wish to take a limited number of graduate-level courses, may be admitted as a Personal Enrichment Student with non-matriculant status.  Acceptance as a personal enrichment student does not constitute acceptance into a degree or certificate program although courses taken might apply to degree programs if a student subsequently applies to and gains admission to a specific program.  Most departments limit students to 6-9 credits taken under Personal Enrichment; in addition, some departments do not allow students to enroll with Personal Enrichment status.  A maximum of two semesters of Personal Enrichment are permitted, and students must complete an application each semester prior to registration.  Please contact the Admission Office for a copy of the application.  Please note that students who are admitted with non-matriculated/Personal Enrichment status are not eligible for any form of financial assistance (university-based, state or federal).
