Making Comparisions

We hope this Question and Answer page will provide you the information necessary to make comparisons among other programs of study.

When you are making comparisons, remember:

The Academic Resource Center admits students to the Program ONLY AFTER they have been accepted by the University and C.W. Post. The Program does not assist with the student's entry into the University.

Academic Resource Center students work with a Learning Assistant on a one-to-one basis for two hours per week, however, each student may spend as much time as needed at the Center AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.

Students work in the Academic Resource Center with a Learning Assistant or tutor in individual carrels. The Learning Assistant will also work with students in the library if they need assistance. NO TUTORING OR LEARNING ASSISTANT WORK TAKES PLACE IN THE DORMS OR THE STUDENT'S HOME OR APARTMENT.

Students are responsible for all their own work and communicating their needs to Center staff.

The Center's motto is: A SERIOUS PROGRAM FOR SERIOUS STUDENTS. Center staff will work with serious students who are committed to earning a college degree.
